This was my third Livin performance and there were three vital parts to it:
Finish 8 84"x 120" paintings derived from the posters designed for Nice Never Lasts; Wear Recycle Poster Show in Dolores Park
Complete a 7 day Livin performance in which I am not allowed to enter my comfort zones. I had to find places to sleep, store my canvases, tools, and materials, transport everything, and I needed lots of help painting the canvases. All of which were achieved in perfect harmony. Everyone involved was a stranger, yet everyone involved was as dedicated as myself for the moment they contributed.
The third goal was to have all 8 paintings exhibited on the side of a building for at least an hour on Sunday, Aug 28, 2011. The first week I came to San Francisco I spotted the warehouse across the street from Dermafilia on 18th and Mission. I knew I wanted it there. I said then it was going to be on there, but I never really confirmed that. I didn't have any idea of how to do something like that. The hanging of the posters finished at 4:55pm and stayed up until 6pm on that warehouse. Here's the installation! :)
Elaborate details to come. I will be writing while I travel the country in the west to east coast finale of Wear Recycle's second tour. Right now the I want to focus on the success of the exhibition and immediate needs to move forward in the second Wear Recycle tour.
To leave the Bay area and move on with the rest of my tour, I need to raise a total of $1251. I have raised $842 thus far and have $358 to go. Please click the donate button to make your contribution so that Wear Recycle can continue its journey. Anything small or large is highly appreciated.
Thanks for following and thanks for those who participated. Below is the credits of all the wonderful people involved. Let me know if I missed you, even if you did a "small" job.
