Nice Never Lasts; Wear Recycle Poster Show, Livin, San Francisco.
Aug 20th until Aug 27th.
Dolores Park, San Francisco
Presentation Aug 28th.
Time and location to be announced, midnight, eve of the 28th
I must stay out of my comfort zones
I am not to update facebook or twitter unless I have to leave Dolores Park with all my stuff during hours in which I am scheduled to be there. Update must be clear and simple… I’ll be back, when, quick why.
I must have eight 84 x 120” paintings of the Nice Never Lasts; Wear Recycle Poster Show posters completed. Artistic liberty is expected. Images below.
Each of the 8 paintings must to be displayed in public on Aug 28th
I must use my recorder.
I must blog/journal for one hour every evening. If I have internet access it must be blog.
I must meditate for 1 hr every evening
I must raise at least $1251 ($700 already raised) + cost of hotel before I am willing to purchase a hotel. The $1251 is for obligations to move out of my unofficial three month artist residency and return my stuff to storage in Las Vegas.
Where I will stay at night is currently unknown. I am not allowed to return to the Volcan (where my residency was) once I leave Sunday, Aug 21 at 7am.
I am not to buy food outside of a grocery store until I have succeeded in raising the $551 + cost of hotel
I must get an email, mailing, telephone list from visitors.
If I end up with a hotel or private stable location personal phone use seizes and continues that way until the paintings are displayed on Aug 28th. Absolutely no personal communication. Meditating goes up to 2 hours a night.
Schedule of Performance:
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I leave where my night location is at 7am. Arrive at Dolores Park how ever long it takes me to get there.
Tuesday. Artist talk at Contra Costa College noonish (will find out if available to public). Depend situation will depend on schedule this day. I will attempt to be at the park prior, and will def be there soon after it's complete.
I can’t stop painting until 8pm. I can go longer if I want, but no earlier. Paint soon after arriving.
